ARRAIOLOS Fringe

To make a pretty ARRAIOLOS fringe, all you have to do is follow the pattern below.

Make an Arraiolos stitch based on on the Cross Stitch shown in pattern 3, passing the yarn over a straight ruler or something wider, according to the size of the fringe desired. From figure 4, follow the same sequence of Arraiolos stitches (fig. 5), making sure that the yarn always goes behind the ruler, always making a loop when a front stitch is completed.

Figure 6 shows the result of a finished fringe.

When a adding a new supply of yarn, never make knots. Simply thread the needle to the reverse side of the canvas and under the completed stitches and then cut the excess yarn.
